Our Events
In an effort to raise funds and awareness for The Children's Hospital at The Medical Center of Central Georgia, we host all kinds of events on and off campus. These are a few highlights from 2012-2013. Aside from other on-campus tables and a finals week bake sale, we've had a blast participating in bobcat marketplaces, trick-or-treating at the hospital, and the traditional GC midnight breakfast.

Miracle a Day Series
For the first week of November, we utilized social media to promote a series of on-campus tables that people could stop by and learn more about our cause. Each day was centered around a different fact about The Children's Hospital. Throughout the week, we gave away free t-shirts, participated in the Dr. John Sallstrom Blood Drive, and made encouraging letters and worry dolls for patients at our hospital. We were thoroughly impressed by how excited everyone we interacted with during the week!

Acoustic Night
On November 1st, we teamed up with Chops Downtown to host a relaxing night of acoustic bands for our fellow students. Leading into Thanksgiving break, everyone was swamped with projects, presentations, and tests so we thought night of live music would be much-needed. The night sparked lively conversations about our cause and tons of people even decided to fill out a miracle balloon.

For the Kids, By the Kids
On November 2nd, we launched this event as a part of Milledgeville Mainstreet's First Friday project. In collaboration with their directors and the wonderful staff at Digital Bridges, we produced this mini art exhibit featuring work by patients at The Children's Hospital. The artwork was a culmination of several excursions where our volunteers went to the hospital and painted with the kids. The work was featured in Digital Bridges through the months of November and December.

Kick-Off 2012
On September 19th, we hosted our annual kick-off to jump start our recruitment efforts for Dance Marathon 2013. In the past, this event primarily took place on main campus during classes. This year, we decided to mix things up with an afternoon on front campus. We had an acoustic band, free food, and games. With all of our exec members present, this was a great way to jump start the conversation of what we do and why we do it.
