Do you have to be a great dancer to participate?

Absolutely not! We stand on our feet for 12 hours as a representation of the pain these kids experience on a daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly basis. Dancing is simply one of the ways we fill the time. The morale dance is a routine that everyone learns throughout the day and the choreography is designed to be fun for literally anyone. Who can be a participant at Dance Marathon?

In past years, the participant role has only been open to the students of Georgia College, but this year, we are thrilled to announce that ANY college student can participate. If you go to another school and want to be a part of our Dance Marathon, all you have to do is email us at georgiacollegemiracle@gmail.com that you're interested and we'll discuss setting that up! A valid student ID will be needed.

Can I attend Dance Marathon if I'm not a participant?
Yes, and we're glad you asked. As one of our many new additions this year, we're happy to let people visit throughout the day. We'll have a table set up at the front entrance of Centennial Center where you can purchase time sensitive passes starting at $5.00. Are you a student that's thinking about getting involved next year, but not sure if it's the right event for you? Are you a local business owner that's thinking about possibly being a sponsor next year? This is the opportunity for you.
